Navassa is a small town bordering the Cape Fear River and the Brunswick River with unique biodiversity surrounding the area. Over 300 different species of plants and animals call Navassa home, with twenty-two species existing nowhere else in the world. Navassa, NC has a rich history consisting strongly of the Gullah culture and used to be home to at least five plantations.
Carolina Shores started as a neighborhood golfing community within Calabash, NC that became a town in 1998. The split came after years of disagreements between the two parties. The 2.5-mile area has town limits interlocking with Calabash but does not actually border any water despite what the name implies.

At the end of Caswell Beach is Fort Caswell which is well preserved from the civil war era with a rich history. The Oak Island lighthouse has been around since 1958 facing out towards the Atlantic. The area was designated a national historic district for a Christian retreat group, the North Carolina Baptist Assembly.
Belville is a community located in Brunswick County, North Carolina around 5 miles outside of the historic port of Wilmington, NC. Belville became an official town in 1977 and has continued to have a growing population of people looking for rural living without being too far from larger cities.

Boiling Springs Lakes is a community in eastern Brunswick County, North Carolina that became incorporated as a town in 1961. After strong hurricanes and massive flooding, the town’s dam broke at the major lakes which caused the lakes to drain. The area is named for its natural spring which was discovered in a wooden rivine by developers in 1961.
